Europa!

It might sound cliche to take a post-graduation Euro trip but that’s exactly what I’m doing! Come June third, my boyfriend and I will be boarding our flight to Madrid, Spain to start our journey of much needed and deserved relaxation! Not that galavanting around southern Europe in three weeks is everyone’s idea of relaxation, but it’s the closest these two design students will probably ever come to carefree. Throughout the first three weeks in June, we will explore Spain, the French Riviera, and Italy. We’ll move from Madrid to Barcelona then on to Nice, France with a day trip to Paris (because you know I loved it so much…not), ending with Italy where we’ll hit a marathon of cities including Milan, Verona, Venice, Florence, the Cinque De Terre, and Roma! We’re currently stockpiling (or at least trying to) funds to feed ourselves but otherwise we’re trying not to worry too much about a strict plan of action. We are mostly staying with local young families and couples thanks to airbnb.com, who will be sure to guide us in the non-tourist side of their cities.

It’s snowing in Boone, I’m at the coffee shop again and I had to take a picture of this perfect winter outfit. Wool sweater, Levi’s jacket, and desert boots.

Saturday morning @ Espresso News.  Starting my day off right with a blueberry muffin and mocha at the local coffee shop.  Fashion show crunch time has officially begun with little more than two months until the big day.  Sound like a lot of time?  Well add a full schedule of studio art classes and a part-time job to that…trust me it’s not!  Needless to say I may be spending more mornings at the coffee shop to keep myself sane!  Luckily i’ll get a short break in the madness for spring break, now a month away.  I’ll be spending a week in NYC with two best friends exploring the city before my big move at the end of the summer and having my portfolio reviewed.  I’m making a list of my must have restaurants already!

I recently discovered these pictures on my computer that I took last summer while interning at Nicole Miller.  The beautiful Ataui Deng and boyfriend Kortney William came in during the Fashion Week model call and we all died over their outfits!  Definitely an inspiration for me to mix up my wardrobe this spring.  The colors, textures, patterns… everything!
